Basic First Aid Training
The Youth Association for Social Awareness - YASA Lebanon is a national organization that was initiated by the friends and colleagues of Tarek Assi (19 years old) in the American University of Beirut after his tragic death in 1994. YASA Lebanon is an NGO registered in Lebanon on October 12, 1996; (memo 148/ 1996) and has a long track of safety promotion in Lebanon and is a founding member of YASA International that is active in many countries.
YASA Lebanon in partnership with the Lebanese Association for School Safety Awareness (LASSA – www.lassanet.org) is offering basic first aid training to help people know how to deal with the situations which have injuries. The Basic First Aid Training aims at education the attendees on life saving techniques that will help limit the aggravation of the injury. This training also focuses on how to handle casualties and injuries that can be dealt with at home.
The training gives the attendees helpful life saving tips and practical injury handling tips for their daily life.
The training tackles the following issues:
• Casualty handling and calling for help
• Airway & Breathing
• Head & Eye Injuries
• Fractures, Sprains & Dislocation
• Circulation,
• Bleeding
• Burns
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation - CPR
This is a 12 hour training, given in three session, is given to groups of maximum 25 persons. The training involves practical training on various first aid actions. All the attendees who complete the training will receive a variety of materials and publications. In addition to that they will all undertake a written exam and receive certificates.
Certificates will be provided in english, french or arabic
