The Youth Association for Social Awareness and the Aisha Bakar Islamic Center signed a protocol Wednesday with the aim of ensuring public safety in order to limit accidents and injuries.
The Islamic Center and YASA organized a seminar on public safety and risk prevention in collaboration with other organizations, including the Lebanese Association for School Safety Awareness and Buildings’ Safety Net.
The conference aimed at limiting various types of accidental injuries and ended with the signing of a cooperation protocol which announced the beginning of a joint action plan between YASA and the Islamic Center.
The conference was part of YASA and LASSA’s efforts to help achieve the U.N. “Decade of Action for Road Safety” project which was launched in May 2011 as an effort to save lives by reducing road traffic deaths and injuries by 2020
